Come Join Us In Remembering What The World Has Forgotten..... The Seventh Day Sabbath!
To fail to have; a sense of lack; to need or require; to desire greatly.
In Psalms 23:1-6 King David wrote, **The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. *He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. *He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. *Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. *Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. *Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
The very first thing that this Scripture says to me is that God “YHWH” exists. Therefore, we declare, as did David, that God exists and that He is our Shepherd; our Leader; our Provider.
When the Lord God of Heaven and Earth is your Shepherd and your Heavenly Father, there is no-thing that you, as one of His Children, lack. No-thing is a Zero “O” without the line; it cannot be seen; it doesn’t exist. He supplies ALL things.
Even though, we may not inclined to do some of the things that are necessary for our well-being; He, as our Shepherd sees to it that we do it. Like a parent in the natural sees to it that their child “Children” get the right amount of nourishment they need; the right amount of rest that they need and provides for their protection; so the Lord provides for His Children, the Saints.
As long as we are submissive to Him “Keep/Observe His Commandments, Judgments, Laws, Precepts and Statutes,” He will continue to provide ALL things that we have need of.
In 2nd Corinthians 9:9-15 the Apostle Paul wrote, (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. *Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) *Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. **For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; *Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; *And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. *Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
The Lord always does that which is Right and Pleasing in His Sight. He gives us the ability to do things that we need to do in order to provide things that we need. In other words, He gives us the ability to work, so we can earn the finances to purchase the things that we need if, we are willing and obedient unto Him.
By our compliance to His Perfect Will, He makes it possible for us to Prosper and be in Good Health, even as our Soul Prospereth in His Word, 3rd John 1:2.
We read in Psalms 34:8-9 where King David wrote, O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. **O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
The Fear of the Lord is to hate evil, Proverbs 8::13. The kind of fear that He wants the Saints to have is not to tremble in fear, but to love to do good and thus, hate to do evil.
The Lord through Isaiah the Prophet said, “Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread, Isaiah 8:13.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you, 1st Peter 5:6-7. If the Lord cares for you then, you know that He will provide for you.
In St. Mark 12:41-44 we read, And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. *And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. *And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: **For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
We must go all-the-way; we can’t go half-the-way, if we want to be Saved; if we want to be called a Child of God. Being Saved means that ALL of our needs are up to Him to provide.
We, as Saints, need to learn to give unto the Lord; to lend unto the Lord and be willing to do all that He ask of us. In so doing, we show our Love for Him and He in turn will show His More Abundant Love towards us. Praise His Holy Name!
The Apostle Paul in 2nd Corinthians 8:13-14 wrote, For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: *But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
It’s that giving and receiving; sowing and reaping; our unselfish will - to spend and be spent - that brings Blessings.
In Proverbs 24:33-34 King Solomon wrote, Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: *So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
If we are not willing to help our self or others, how can we expect God to help us?
One of the problems many so called Christians have today is that they are basically lazy; they want everything to be given to them on a silver platter. It’s high time that we got up off our lazy bones and get busy about doing the Work of the Lord; Winning Lost Souls and Edifying each other, the Body of Christ.
King Solomon in Proverbs 14:27-28 wrote, The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. *In the multitude of people is the king’s honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.
I think it would be permissible to quote the above Scripture like this: “To hate evil brings good things our way like a Fountain of Life, Springing up and Flowing over; we are Abundantly Blessed INDEED!”
We read in Proverbs 13:23-25 where King Solomon wrote, **Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment. *He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. **The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.
In other words, when we are willing and give to those that are in need or that are less fortunate than we are, God sees it as bringing forth good fruit, pressed down and running over unto Righteousness.
But, if we are not willing to give or do good, when it is in our ability to do so, the Lord sees that as an evil that, if left uncorrected, will bring forth destruction, loss and want.
The Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:11-13 Wrote, **Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. *I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. *I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
We, the Saints, the Children of the Most High God need to come to the place where we become all things to all people that we might win some, 1st Corinthians 9:22 and thereby Glorify our Father which is in Heaven.
May the Heavenly Father Richly Bless and Keep you as you Follow on to Know and Serve Him in Spirit and In Truth. Praise His Holy and Righteous Name For Ever More!
