Knowledge

The state of knowing; understanding gained through experience and/or study.

“Intelligent Comprehension”

The Apostle Peter in 2nd Peter 1:2 wrote, Grace and Peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.

It is in, through and by the Knowledge of God “YHWH” and His Only Begotten Son Jesus that mankind has any hope for Grace and Peace in time of need, and in the World to come.

In 1st Corinthians 1:3-8 the Apostle Paul wrote, Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. *I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; **That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; *Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: *So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: *Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul is another witness that states that, it is in, through and by the Knowledge of God and His Only Begotten Son Jesus, that mankind has any hope for Grace and Peace in time of need, and in the World to come.

In accepting Jesus into our life as Saviour and Lord, mankind is built-up by putting off the Lust of the Flesh, the Lust of the Eyes and the Pride of Life and by putting on the Lord Jesus Christ. We are to put that New Man that is Renewed by the Knowledge of Him that sent Him and by putting on the Mind of Christ.

When a Soul has the Mind of Christ, they have Knowledge.  Having the Mind of Christ ensures that the Soul lacks NO-thing.  No-thing: “Nothing” is a “Zero” without the line; it cannot be seen; it doesn’t exist.

It is truly wonderful to know that a Soul can and will be Perfect when Jesus comes in the Clouds of Glory to receive His own unto Himself.  Praise His Holy Name!

We read in James 3:13, Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

The person that has the Knowledge of Jesus actively working in their Spirit, Soul and Body displays the evidence of the same, which is evident by the way they "Live, Think, Speak and Do.”

In Romans 1:22-32 the Apostle Paul wrote, Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, *And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. *Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: *Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. *For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: *And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. **And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; *Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, *Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, *Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: *Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

A Soul that has Knowledge does not have to boast of it because it is evident in itself.  A Soul that truly has the Knowledge of Jesus, actively operating in their life, will not seek to change the Word of the Lord, but they will gladly obey God’s Holy and Righteous Word.

Needless to say, there are many, many woes that await the Soul that does not retain or “Actively live in” the Knowledge of the Written Word of the Lord, the Bible.  I don’t know about you but, I do not want any of these woes in my life.

I want to always be actively seeking and doing the Perfect Will of the Lord, which is to depart from evil “Sin.”

In St. Luke 11:52 we read, Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Some people that seem to have a great deal of book knowledge endeavor to undermine the Perfect Knowledge of the Lord.  This type of person thinks that they have the Knowledge of Jesus but in reality, they deny the Power of the Lord which is His "Laws, Commandments, Judgments, Precepts and Statutes.”

The Power of any Government or Kingdom is its Laws and the ability to enforce them.

The Apostle Paul in Romans 2:17-29 wrote, Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, *And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; *And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, **An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law. *Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? *Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? *Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? *For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. *For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. *Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? *And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? *For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: *But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

It really is sad, that as it was then, “In the days of Paul and the other Apostles” so, it is even today, that there are way too many people that profess that they are Christians but their life does not show forth the example of a Believer/ Saint.  There are Ministers of the Gospel and Teachers of the Written Word of God, the Bible, that have never been Born  Again or they have long since stopped doing the Word that they one preached and taught.

Therefore, if the Blind Leaders lead the blind, they will both fall into the ditch or utter destruction, St. Luke 6:39.  In other words, if we follow the ways of those that do not the Truth, we too will be lost when Jesus comes again in the Clouds of Glory to receive His own the Saints to forever be with Him in His New Jerusalem.

One thing that we need to remember is that the Physical Law of Sacrificing a Lamb, for our sins, and Circumcising the Foreskin of our Flesh has been changed from a Physical Action to a Spiritual Action in, through and by the Precious Shed Blood of Jesus. Now, we have a Spiritual Law of the Sacrificing of our Lips (in confession of our sins) to God, in, through and by Jesus and the Circumcising of our Heart in living a Righteous Life in, through and by the Power of the Holy Ghost in the Precious Name of Jesus.

In 2nd Timothy 3:7 the Apostle Paul wrote, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth.

Another Scripture that will go right along with the above Scripture is: They have eyes that see not and ears that hear not, Acts 28:27 Saying “‘Go to this people and say:     “Hearing you will hear, and shall not understand; And seeing you will see, and not perceive; **For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.”’

Saints, we cannot afford to be deceived; we must know and do the Truth.  When a person is ever learning and never coming to the Knowledge of the Truth, it means that they see and hear what the Written Word of God, the Bible, says but they are not implementing what they see and hear into their everyday life.

The Apostle Paul in Romans 10:2-4 wrote, For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. *For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. *For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

It’s wonderful to see the excitement of people when they are supposedly doing something good, in the name of the Lord.  But it is oh, so sad when they are saying and doing a lie/a thing that the Written Word of God, the Bible, does not say or sanction like: Resting on the First Day of the Week “Sunday,” Celebrating Christmas for the Birth of Jesus and Celebrating Easter for the Resurrection of Jesus, neither of which is mentioned in the Bible.

When Jesus came into this world as a babe, grew into a man, lived a Righteous Life, died on a Cruel Cross and Arose Again the Third Day, He and all that He did was the END of ALL that was to be Implemented for the Salvation and Righteousness of mankind.

In 1st Corinthians 8:9-12 the Apostle Paul wrote, But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. *For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; **And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? *But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

There are a lot of people that are not reading the Bible but my friend, they are surely reading you by the things that you say, your actions and your deeds.

Every sin against the body is devastating.  As one Scripture says, “If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it." 1st Corinthians 12:26.

Therefore, it is better that we pay close attention to the things that we say and do so as not to bring harm or loss to the Body of Christ, the Saints.

The Apostle Paul in 1st Corinthians 15:33-34 wrote, Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. *Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

One Scripture says, “Fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; **neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks." Ephesians 5:3-4.

It’s easy to get caught up in foolish talking, listening to and the telling jokes, but we as Saints of the Most High God need/must avoid such things completely.

All it takes is one word or one gesture to destroy a lifetime of living and speaking righteously.  Remember the little song we use to sing as children, “Oh! Be careful little hands what you do; Oh! Be careful little feet where you go; Oh! Be careful little mouth what you speak; there’s a Father up above looking down in tender love so, be careful little hands what you do so, be careful little feet where you go so, be careful little mouth what you say.”

We read in Hebrews 10:24-26, And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: *Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. *For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Remember the saying, “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend." Proverbs 27:17.”

We therefore, are to sharpen one another.  If we are not sharpening one another with the Written Word of God the Bible; if we are not praying for one another; if we are not visiting one another in their homes, church or other places, we may be breaking one another down.

Even if we do not agree with everything that goes on in church “The Bible study, the singing, the preaching" and so on, we still need to go to church on a regular basis. Who knows, you or I may be the only constant light there for others to be encouraged by.

In 2nd Peter 2:20-21the Apostle Peter wrote, For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. *For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

We, as Saints of the Most High God, should always be on the look-out to help other members of the Body of Christ.  We might be the next one that needs help to keep from slipping away, through complacency, “Unaware of the danger of falling.”

We don’t want to be like Judas Iscariot who was one of the twelve disciples; one of them that experienced the Power of God then, turned around and betrayed Jesus and then turned around and hanged himself.  Forever lost because of a lack of knowledge of what he was doing.

 The Apostle Paul in 2nd Corinthians 10:4-5 wrote, For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; *Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We need to be mindful that satan (As a roaring lion) is going around seeking whom he may devour.  The Saints of God, through the Power of the Holy Ghost in the Precious name of Jesus, have fitted themselves with the Armour of the Lord, Ephesians 6:10-18 so, that they will be able to withstand All wiles of the devil.  Praise the Name of Jesus!

Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus; put on the Mind of Christ.
