~ To bow down; to serve out of respect; Worship is a matter of the heart and an expression of a person’s inner relationship with God ~
“YHWH”
We read in St. John 4:21-24, Jesus saith unto her, "Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. *Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. *But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. *God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in Truth."
The first thing that comes to my mind here is that God “YHWH” is a Spirit. St. John 4:24, and in the Book of Genesis 1:26, It Is Written: “Let Us make man in Our Image,” therefore, man was made a Spirit. Therefore, it is the Spirit of mankind that is to Worship God “YHWH.”
The next thing to recognize is that we are to Worship the Lord in Truth. It Is Written: “Thy Word oh Lord is Truth." St. John 17:17
Therefore, it is very important that we read and study the Written Word of God “YHWH”, the Bible so that we will know how to Serve the Lord in Truth according to that which is Right and Pleasing in His Sight.
The Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 30:27-31 wrote, "Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire: *And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err. *Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel. *And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall show the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. *For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod."
Think about this for a moment: “the name of the Lord cometh,” What is the Name of the Lord? From Scripture we find that the Word of the Lord is Jesus the Only Begotten Son of God “YHWH.” The Word was made flesh, St. John 1:14. Jesus is that Word made flesh that dwelt among men.
Therefore, one might say, “the name of the Lord cometh,” like this: “the Word of God “YHWH” or Jesus Cometh.” ~
Why is He coming? He is coming with great anger and with burning fire to exact vengeance on the unjust. This time, the people of the world will take notice of the fact that He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and that He will do that which He has said He will do. There will not be an escape for those that refuse to Worship the Lord.
The last portion of this Scripture, “For through the voice of the LORD,” will be recognized that Jesus is that Voice, the ONLY Voice that we are to hear and give ear to and Worship if we expect to be Saved.
In 2nd Chronicles 5:13-14 we read, "It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; *So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God."
When we as Children of the Most High God “YHWH” begin to Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth then, His Glory will not only fill the room and the earth but it will be seen in us, the Saints because we are that House that He wants to inhabit. Praise His Holy Name!
In Joel 2:15-19 the Prophet Joel wrote, "Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: *Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. *Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? *Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people. *Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:"
The Saints are to set aside ample time to seek the Mind of the Lord “to fast.” However, the Lord is not as well pleased with the Saints afflicting their Soul “denying themselves of food and drink” as He is in them doing good “loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke; *Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house; when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh."
Isaiah 58:6-7
The Saints as Ministers of the Most High God are to be in a continual attitude of Prayer and Intercession for one another and for the Lost Souls of mankind. The Saints need to pray for the Faith that was once delivered to the Saints of old, Jude 1:3; this is a Most Holy Faith that comes by praying in the Holy Ghost, Jude 1:20 with utterances that are only discerned by the Holy Ghost. Romans 8:26
If you don’t know how to pray in the Holy Ghost, you need to seek the Baptism of the Holy Ghost so that you will be able to properly pray in the Holy Ghost ~
The Holy Ghost is a Gift from God “YHWH” that Jesus asked His Father to send to His followers. The Baptism of the Holy Ghost is so important that Jesus, before He ascended up into Heaven, instructed His Disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they received it.
Do any of us dare to think that we are better than the Disciples of Jesus, in that we think that we don’t need the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in order to live a Righteous Life and Endure to the End? I think not!
True Worship MUST be in the Spirit “the Soul” and in the Truth “the Written Word of God.” St. John 4:23-24
We read in Deuteronomy 16:11, "And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there."
We have received a Commandment to Worship the Lord. To fail to Worship the Lord is to fall short of the mark of God ~
In Hebrews 10:24-25 we read, "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: *Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
The Saints are to encourage one another to Worship the Lord. This Scripture was Written a long time ago and if it was so important for the Saints of old back then to emphasize the necessity Worshiping the Lord, of how much more importance do you suppose it is for us today?
We are instructed to be diligent in gathering together with other Believers in the Truth “Saints” so that we may have Fellowship one with the other and that we, collectively, may Worship the Lord of Glory. Praise His Holy Name!
The Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 56:4-7 wrote, "For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; *Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. *Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; *Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people."
We, the Saints have a surer Word of Promise or Prophesy, 2nd Peter 1:9; we have been blessed with all Spiritual Blessings, Ephesians 1:3 therefore, we have a greater reason to Worship the Lord. We have been given a New Everlasting Name in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour and soon coming King. Praise His Holy and Righteous Name!
In order for us to insure that we will be able to "Endure to the End" - St. Matthew 10:24 - we MUST Strive “put great effort into” to know and do “comply with” the Written Word of God.
We read in Psalms 84:4, "Blessed are they that dwell in Thy House: they will be still Praising Thee: Selah."
Without a doubt, everyone that is willing and obedient will Worship the Lord of Host, now, in this life and in the World to Come, where there will Peace Forever More. Praise His Holy Name!
