" Praise the Lord for that which He is about to do! "
~ The lack of trust or confidence or the lack of belief that certain things are true ~
We read in Jude 1:5, "I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not."
For a person to disbelieve something that is verifiably True does not in any way nullify the validity of the Truth. For instance, if a person should say that they do not believe the law of physics will not stop a rock falling on their head if they toss a rock straight up over their head. The end results will be a sore head. Sometimes the consequences of not believing a thing is so, can be more than one might want or afford to pay.
It is the intent of this Minister to encourage those that read this Message by stirring-up your pure mind by putting you in remembrance of Truth of God’s Holy Written Word.
The Apostle Paul in Titus 1:15 wrote, "Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled."
A person that has a negative or skeptical attitude will not experience the good that might come in and by believing. I have found it to be uncomfortable to be around a person that displays a negative out-look on things. I sometimes seek to avoid that type of person or I at least try not to bring up anything I think they might disallow.
In 1st Corinthians 2:14 the Apostle Paul wrote, "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
The afore mentioned Scripture is one reason why mankind should seek to have the Mind of Christ. 1st Corinthians 2:16
We MUST have the Mind of Christ if we are to discern Spiritual Things; the Written Word of God is Spirit and it is Truth ~
In St. Luke 8:18 we read, "Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have."
One question a person might want to ask themselves is: “Do I really listen with the intent of knowing and doing the Truth?” If a person only hears partially, they could make a wrong step that could cost them more than they can afford to pay. The more knowledge and understanding one has in a matter, the more likely they will be able to render good judgment on the matter.
We read in St. Luke 18:8 in part, "Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?"
It is reported that Jesus said that He is coming back for a people that are looking for Him “His Appearing.” If a person does not truly believe that which is Written in God’s Holy Word, they will not be looking for His return. In fact, they may be doing things that God would not approve of and thereby be left to Utter Destruction.
The Apostle Paul in Romans 3:3 wrote, "What if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?"
We have covered this previously a little when talking about the laws of physics. A person can deliberately shut their eyes while you are standing in front of them and say, “I don’t see you so, you are not here,” when in fact you are standing right in front of them. Believe it or not, God’s Holy Written Word is True, He always says what He means, Means what He says and He does not change.
We read in Numbers 20:12, "The LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
This situation with Moses and Aaron is in my opinion one of the saddest incidents in the Bible. Here we have two men doing everything they can to help this massive group of people get to their new home place. These two men get angry because of the discontentment of the people and by disobeying God, they are not allowed to enter the Promised Land.
The Written Word of God states that Anger rest in the bosom of fools. Ecclesiastes 7:9
Another Scripture states, a fool says in his heart, there is no God. Psalms 14:1
It stands to reason that anyone that does not believe in God will not be welcome in His Heavenly Kingdom ~
In Hebrews 4:1-11 we read, "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. *For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. *For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. *For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. *And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. *Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: *Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. *For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. *There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. *For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. *Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."
The Bible, the Written Word of God has been given to mankind so that they will be able to render a right decision towards God so that they find Sweet Peace and Rest in His Holy and Righteous Son, Jesus.
We read in Revelation 21:8, "The fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
Did you notice that the unbelieving are grouped right along with the vilest of evil doers? An unbeliever most likely would not want to equate themselves with a whoremonger or a murderer. But the Written Word of God states that sin is sin and no sinner will be allowed to enter into God’s Heavenly Kingdom with the Righteous Saints.
