Sins Unto Death

Bible Study Subject

I heard some one say: “Since Jesus died on the Cross, was buried, arose from the grave and ascended back up into Heaven, there should not be a Death Penalty for any sin or transgression."

I have not been able to find any Scripture to back up this assumption.  I find that God said:

“One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.”  Exodus 12:49

Malachi 3:6 states, “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”

Note: We, through the Precious Blood of Jesus, are made “Adopted to become” the Sons of Jacob; the Seed of Abraham; and we are Called the Sons of God.

Romans 11:13-20, For I “Paul” speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.  For if the casting away of them “the Natural Seed” be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.  And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.  Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.  Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

NoteFaith is Believing,  “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. ”  Romans 10:17

Faith is Obedience,  “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works:
show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.”  James 2:18

Romans 11:13-24, "For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.  And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.  For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?"

Colossians 1:12-22, "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.  And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.  In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:"

Note: Since we have been reconciled by the Precious Blood of Jesus and are become the Sons of God; we are also responsible to obey the Laws of God even as the Children of Israel were / are.

Ephesians 1:3-4, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:"

Note: This is an interesting thought, 'God, before the World began, chose you and I to be His children through the Precious Blood of His only begotten son Jesus'.

If then God chose you and I to be His children through the Blood of Jesus before the World began and before a Law of any kind was spoken or written, He would also have known that Every Word He spoke would stand FOREVER.  And that is precisely what He said in, Malachi 3:6.

Ephesians 1:5, "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will."

1st John 5:16-17, "If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death."

Leviticus 20:10, "And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death."

Note:
One needs to understand what this Scripture is saying.  It does not say that a man is to be put to death for Fornication, but for Adultery.
Adultery is a sin unto death ~

Adultery: is defined as being an elite act between a man and another man’s wife.

Fornication: is defined as being an elite act between a man and a woman that is not married or engaged.

Adultery: is a sin unto death while Fornication isn’t.

Genesis 9:6, "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."

Note: This verse is speaking about the commission of murder.

Murder is a sin unto death ~

Exodus 21:16, "And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death."

Note: This Scripture is speaking about kidnapping.

Kidnapping is a sin unto death
~

Leviticus 20:13, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

Note: This Scripture is speaking about homosexuals whether they call
themselves, “gays or lesbians”
Homosexuality is a sin unto death ~

Deuteronomy 22:25, "But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:"

Note: This Scripture is referring to Rape.

Rape is a sin unto death ~

When a person says, “the Laws of God have been done away”, they are saying, “regardless of what a person does, they aren’t sinning.”  The Word of God says that "sin is the transgression of the Law." 1st John 3:4

Romans 7:12, "Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good."

1st Corinthians 15:56, "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law."

Note: That which is Spirit can not be changed. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."  St. John 3:6

1st Corinthians 15:45-46, "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual."

James 1:25, "But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."

"For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God." Romans 2:28-29

Note:
Think back, if you will, to when wickedness was not so prevalent.  Yes, there has always been some lawlessness but not as much as there is today except perhaps during the days of Noah and during the days of Lot.  The sad thing about the places where Noah and Lot lived is that they were destroyed.  That is exactly what will happen to the United States if we don’t REPENT.

Exodus 22:7, God said, “If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him pay double. “

Note: Today, it isn’t like that.  If, per chance, someone breaks into your home, steals everything you own of any value and then, burns down your house, when he is caught, your Tax dollars will pay for the Thief’s Attorney, his room and board and anything else he might need while incarcerated.  Is this justice?

God’s way would be that the Thief repay back double your loss.  If the Thief doesn’t have where-with to repay then, he was to be sold in to servitude until the debt was paid.

In my opinion the Prisons should be a place where violators of Property Crimes should be temporally housed.  While there they should be compelled to work on “City, County, State and Federally funded” jobs in order to repay their wrongs against Humanity.

Fifty percent of what they earn, while being incarcerated, should go to pay their Restitution, Forty percent should go to pay for their housing “room and board” while in Prison and Ten percent of what they earn should be saved and given to the Violator on release from prison.

If things were done this way, we would not have so many Property Crimes.  I firmly believe this is the kind of thing God had in mind to discourage Property Crimes.

Hosea 4:1-2, "Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood."

Ezra 7:26, "And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment."

Ecclesiastes 8:11, "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil."

Note:
We must hold people responsible for their actions against society.  This is the only way to deter crime.
