" Praise the Lord for that which He is about to do! "
~ What does it me to be saved? To be saved means to be rescued from destruction, sin or death ~
Due to the nature of the definition above, one should be able to know without a shadow of a doubt that they are saved.
We read in Acts 13:26 where it is reported that the Apostle Peter said, “Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.”
This same proclamation is valid to whosoever will, for all of mankind today. While the Spirit of the Lord is moving/calling to lost souls to accept Jesus’ Precious Blood to pay the penalty for their sins, they can be saved. Praise His Holy Name!
In Lamentations 3:26 the Prophet Jeremiah wrote, "It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all."
Even as the Prophet Jeremiah encouraged those of his day to accept God’s FREE Gift, I too want to encourage lost souls to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
The Prophet Jonah in Jonah 2:9 in part wrote, "Salvation is of the LORD."
The Lord Jesus is the Provider of Salvation. There cannot be any Salvation without the Precious Shed Blood of Jesus the Son of the Living God ~
The Apostle Paul in 2nd Thessalonians 2:13 in part wrote, "God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth."
Before the foundation of the World, mankind and all that is or ever will be, Jesus, the Only Begotten Son of God was Ordained to Pay the Price of sin for ALL mankind.
What is Truth? The Word, the Lord Jesus is Truth! The Truth is no part of a lie, 1st John 2:21.
In Romans 1:16 the Apostle Paul wrote, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
The Good News about Jesus is that He has the Power to Save any and everyone that is willing to accept Him into their life and do or follow His Perfect Way of Truth.
Believing in and of itself is not enough when Believing is not mixed with active acceptance and obedience to the Truth. The devils believe, they even fear and tremble, James 2:19, but the devils do not have any chance for Salvation.
The Apostle Paul in Romans 10:9 wrote, "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
The Prophet Hosea in Hosea 14:2 said it like this, “Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.”
In Isaiah 1:18-19 the Prophet Isaiah said it like this, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. *If ye be willing and obedient.”
Salvation like love is an action word. Salvation, like love, grows. It changes from Glory to Glory until Jesus comes in the clouds of Glory and all the Saints will be like Him. Praise His Holy Name!
Again in Romans 10:10 the Apostle Paul wrote, "With the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
The Apostle James in James 2:14 wrote, "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him?"
Faith or Believing without action or works does not amount to anything, it is without fruit or proof ~
In Philippians 2:12 the Apostle Paul in part wrote, "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Working out your own salvation does not mean that you can save yourself. It means that what God has placed on the inside of you, in your heart, you work it out of the inside of you to where it is manifested on the outside of you.
For example, if someone put a thousand dollars in your pocket, the money would not do you any good until you take it out of your pocket and put it to use, i.e., put it in a savings account or other investment or purchase something with it.
The Apostle John in St. John 3:16 wrote, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
One Scripture relates that a gift maketh a way, Proverbs 18:16. God’s gift of His Only Begotten Son Jesus made it possible for mankind to be Saved. Praise His Holy Name!
In 1st Peter 1:3-7 the Apostle Peter wrote, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, *To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, *Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. *Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: *That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ."
