Lords Supper Rite
Passover & Foot-Washing
Rite: a prescribed form or manner governing the words and / or actions for a ceremony; a ceremonial act or action;
The Passover is to be observed by the Children of God “YHWH” as a Memorial “in memory of,” Exodus 12:14.
Note: The Passover was only observed once every year at the beginning of the year on the 14th day of Abib or Nisan.
Also note: In Bible Times, a day started at the end or evening of the previous day.
The Dates of Passover
Note: The Naval Observatory shows the Passover as being on the 15th day of Nisan or Abib. The Bible however states that the Passover is to be observed on the 14th day of the month of Abib or Nisan.
Therefore, whatever day the Naval Observatory indicates the Passover is on, the day before that day would actually be the Passover and the Memorial Service would then be observed on the evening before that day.
Many Jewish Calendars also show the Passover on the 15th because they have combined the Passover with the Feast of Unleavened Bread which begins on the 15th day of Abib.
For the year 2010 the Phases of the Moon are:
March 15th - New Noon
March 23rd – Crescent Moon
March 30th – Full Moon
Note: The First Day of Abib / Nissan 2010 is on Tuesday March 16th and the 14th Day of Abib / Nissan is on Monday the 29th therefore, the Lord’s Supper & foot-washing would be observed at Sun-set on the 28th which is Sunday.

The Lord’s Supper & Foot Washing Passover
Exodus 11:4-7, "And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt: *And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts. *And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more. *But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel. "
Exodus 12:1-8, "And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, *This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. *Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: *And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. *Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: *And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. *And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. *And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it."
1st Corinthians 5:8, "Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."
Exodus 12:9-16, "Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof. *And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. *And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S Passover. *For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. *And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.* And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. *Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. *And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you."
St Mark 14:3-9, "And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. *And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? *For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. *And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. *For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always. *She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. *Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her."
St Matthew 26:26-29, "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. *And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; *For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."
Note: St Mark 14:22-24 & St Luke 22:17-20 also witnesses this event.
1st Corinthians 10:21, "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils."
St John 6:53-58, "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. *Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. *He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. *As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the *Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. *This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever."
1st Corinthians 11:27-31, "Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. *But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. *For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. *For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep."
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged see, 1st Corinthians 11:31.
1St Corinthians 10:16-17, "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? *For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread."
St John 13:4-8, "He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. *After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. *Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? *Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. *Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. *Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me."

St John 13:9-17, "Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. *Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. *For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. *So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? *Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. *If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. *For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. *Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. *If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them."
1St John 5:6, "This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. *And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth."
