Oneness

~Oneness is defined as all being One ~

When you think about all or many separate things being one or being complete in one, there are many examples that we can use.  For example, there are fifty states that make up the United States.  And in those states there are many towns and cities that make up several counties that make up each state.

Therefore, one should be able to see that a complete one of anything can be made up of several separate but connected parts to make the whole ~

The Apostle Paul in Ephesians 2:11-16 wrote, "Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; *That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: *But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. *For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; *Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; *And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:"

Jesus has made every Born Again Believer a part of His Body, the Church, the Bride of Christ through His death “Precious Shed Blood”, burial, resurrection and ascension ~

It was impossible for mankind to redeem or save itself.  Therefore, God in His Infinite Wisdom pre-ordained before the world or anything in it was made, that His Holy and Righteous Son would die for our sins, that we might be ONE in Him.  Praise His Holy Name!

In 1st Corinthians 10:15-17 the Apostle Paul wrote, "I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.  *The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? *For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread."

The Apostle Paul like Jesus spake in similitude’s in that we do not actually eat the flesh of the body of Jesus or drink the actual blood of Jesus.   But the bread that we eat and the cup that we drink represents the Body and the Blood of Jesus our Saviour.

In like manner, we are one with God in Jesus ~

The Apostle Paul in 1st Corinthians 8:6 wrote, "But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him."

There is absolutely only one God “YHWH” and this one God has a Son by whom the worlds and everything in them were made and does exist and we are made one with God in Him.

In Galatians 3:28 the Apostle Paul wrote, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."

Because we are one in Christ Jesus there is no preeminence of one over another.   That is why the Scripture states that God is no respecter of persons, Acts 10:34.

The Apostle Paul in 1st Corinthians 6:16-17 wrote, "What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. *But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit."

We need to remember that in the Beginning when mankind “Adam and Eve” were made, the Word of God said, “let us make man in our image.”  In St. John 4:24 Jesus is reported to have said that, “God is a Spirit.”  Therefore, for mankind to be made in the Image of God, the first man “Adam” was made a Spirit.

Mankind is made-up of three parts, Spirit, Soul and Body and these three are one ~

We read is St. John 17:20-23 where Jesus reportedly said, “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; *That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. *And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:  *I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me."

I would think that everyone would agree that the Father “YHWH” loves the Son “Jesus” and that He delights to give Him whatsoever He ask of Him, St. John 11:42.  The Saints are one with the Father and the Son because Jesus prayed that it would be so.

In 1st John 2:22 we read, "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."

Antichrist is one that denieth the Father and the Son.  A lying spirit denies that the Father “YHWH” has a Son “Jesus.”  That same lying spirit told Eve that she would not really die if she ate of the Forbidden Fruit.  We all know what happened as a results of her believing that lie!

The Apostle Mark in St. Mark 13:31-33 wrote, "Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. *But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. *Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is."

Do you believe that it is possible for Jesus to tell a lie?  I think that most of the Saints would answer the above question with a resounding, “NO.”

In the preceding Scripture Jesus said that no man, angel or He, Himself knew the day or the hour of the time of the end but only His Father.

Believe the Word!
