~ Unrepentant; not expressing remorse for one’s misdeeds or sins ~
In Ezekiel 3:1-5, the Prophet Ezekiel wrote, "Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
*So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll. *And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness. *And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them. *For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;"
If we are willing to do that which the Lord has required of us then, He will help us to accomplish the doing of His Word. The Word of the Lord is Sweet to the Taste however, the doing of His Word can be bitter to the flesh because the flesh is resistant to change.
The Word of the Lord is for those that are called out and chosen to be Saints. Sinners do not have the nature to be compliant to the Written Word of God “YHWH”. The sad thing is, that all too many of the Saints are lukewarm which makes it difficult for them to hear and comply with the Word.
Note: You may want to read the first sixteen verses of this chapter for yourself later.
The Prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 13:23-27 wrote, "Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. *Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that passeth away by the wind of the wilderness. *This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith the LORD; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood. *Therefore will I discover thy skirts upon thy face, that thy shame may appear.
*I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?"
It is nigh on to impossible for sinners to change their way of doing on their
own ~
Therefore, they need someone to help them. That is why God “YHWH” sent His only begotten Son Jesus to save those that are lost in sin.
Here, the Prophet Jeremiah is speaking to the Body of Christ, the Saints, those that make up the Church.
The sad thing is that all too many of the Children of God have left their first love and have turned to sensualities, that which sounds good, looks good and feels good.
These rebellious ones are more difficult to be won than a life-long sinner ~
The Love of God “YHWH” is so great that He will let us have our own way and be damned. However, it is His Will that we turn to Him through the shed Blood of His Son Jesus and Live.
We read in St. Matthew 13:15, "For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."
One of the biggest problems of those that are supposedly in the Body of Christ is that they are willingly ignorant. I have heard some that call themselves Christians say, “Don’t tell me what I am doing wrong;” or “I don’t want the Pastor coming to my house and see what is there and tell me that I shouldn’t be doing this or that.”
I don’t know about you, but if someone sees me doing something that the Written Word of God does not approve of, I want them to tell me because I don’t want anything to hindering me entering into the Kingdom of God.
In Isaiah 42:22-25, the Prophet Isaiah wrote, "But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. *Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come? *Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law. *Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart."
Since Jesus came in the likeness of sinful flesh, lived a sinless life, died on a cruel cross, arose again after three days and ascended back to sit at the right hand of the Father “YHWH,” a More Abundant Grace has been extended to mankind, favor that we do not deserve.
In all rights we should have to pay for our transgressions. But thanks be to God “YHWH” for His patience and un-ding love that He has for us that, we have the opportunity to be Saved. Praise His Holy and Righteous Name for Evermore!
The Prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 6:16 wrote, "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein."
Listen, Saints, we need to go back to the Written Word of Truth, the Holy Bible
and read, study and do that which is Written there-in. This is our best
avenue for Victory ~
King Solomon in Proverbs 15:10 wrote, "Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die."
In other words what Solomon was saying, if you continue to do that which is good and right in the sight of the Lord, you don’t have anything to worry about. But a person that refuses to hear will inadvertently walk off a cliff and die.
The Prophet Samuel in 1st Samuel 15:23 wrote, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king."
A person can be called out and chosen by God to be one of His Saints but if they refuse to be obedient to His bidding they will then be rejected and eventually be destroyed.
You might say, “I / we don’t serve idols but the Word of God plainly says that a person is stubborn to the point of not doing what the Written Word of God says that the Saints are to do, then, your own desires have become your idols, making you an idolater.
Note: Exodus 22:18 states: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." So, if you are inclined to delving into Witch-Craft, you may want to reconsider this thought.
In Leviticus 26:21 we read, "And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins."
This should be sufficient a warning to anyone to consider their way of life whether or not their choice of life-style is worth continuing. I don’t think I would like to have seven times more troubles than I have already gone through.
We read in Revelation 2:5, "Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent."
If you can’t remember from where you have fallen, perhaps you have not been on top yet. If that be the case, today is the day of Salvation. Choose Jesus and the Written Word of God and Live. This is Good News!
However, if you have known the Way of Truth and have strayed from the Path of Righteousness, please, please hear the call, repent and walk in the Path of Righteousness so, that you might Live with the Saints in Light when Jesus returns to receive His own to be with Him in Glory. This is very good news!
