In St. Matthew 5:5 we read, "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth."
The Saints of God truly have a magnificent blessing awaiting them when Jesus returns in the clouds of Glory to receive His Precious Bride. In fact, one Scripture says, the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous. Proverbs 13:22 -
Not only will the Saint inherit the earth but they will also receive all that the sinners have worked all their lives to gain.
King David in Psalms 115:16 said it like this, "The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men."
From what I have read and have come to understand there are at least three heavens. There is the atmospheric heaven in which the birds fly, the starry heaven and the heaven of heavens the Paradise of God.
God, from the beginning of Creation intended that mankind should possess the earth. Through sin Adam and Eve sold out to the devil. But hallelujah, the Precious Blood of Jesus freed mankind from sin and purchased the earth back as An inheritance for the Saints.
In Psalms 37: 9-11, King David said, “Evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. *For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. *But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.”
I think one of the most difficult things for mankind to do is to patiently wait. The smallest amount of time seems like forever to the anxious flesh therefore, it behooves us to diligently seek and pray for and put on the Mind of Christ.
1st Corinthians 2:16
The Word of the Lord states that God will cause even our enemies to be a peace with us when our ways please Him. Proverbs 16:7
In Revelation 5:10, we read where the angel of the Lord said, “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”
As children growing up many of us have dreamed or even played as being a king. Little did we know that it could actually be possible that the God of Heaven and Earth would bestow upon His Children the privilege of being a King and a Priest in His Holy Heavenly Kingdom. Praise His Holy and Righteous Name!
In 2nd Timothy 2: 11-12, the Apostle Paul wrote, "It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: *If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us."
No one likes to suffer but sometimes it is necessary in order to accomplish the desired results ~
One of the biggest problems of mankind is, we have not learned how to die unto self and live unto Christ. It takes effort and time to implement those changes that are more difficult. Therefore, let me encourage you to endeavor to put away the sins that so easily beset us, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life that we might obtain an Heavenly Crown.
Revelation 20:6-9, "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. *And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, *And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. *And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints."
There is seemingly a lot of controversy as to where the Saints will dwell when Jesus returns. Why can’t we believe what the Scripture says? It plainly says, we will inherit the earth; it plainly says, we will rule and reign with (Psalms 140:13, "Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.") Jesus for a thousand years and then shortly after that, the judgment will come. Then, the Saints of God will ever be with Him. Praise His Holy Name!
King Solomon in Proverbs 2:21 wrote, "The upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it."
To dwell in the land is to abide or live in or on the land. It is only the wicked that are taken away for the land where the righteous shall live.
To remain in the land is to stay there ~
In 2nd Timothy 4:18 the Apostle Paul wrote, "The Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."
There is a Kingdom of God where He dwells, where He is preparing a place for the Saints and it shall come to pass because He said that it would.
The Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 33: 14-17 said, “The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? *He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; *He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. *Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off."
The wicked shall dwell in the devouring fire with everlasting burnings. But the righteous shall dwell with Jesus on His Holy Mountain. Praise His Holy Name!
Isaiah 11: 6-9, "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. *And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. *And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. *They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea."
It is truly wonderful to know that one day nothing will ever be able to harm the Saints, that we will have dominion over everything.
John in Revelation 21:1-7 wrote, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."
There is coming a day when everything that we know, today, will be replaced with that which will never pass away.
In Revelation 21:2-7 we read, "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. *And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. *And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. *And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. *And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. *He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son."
The day is coming when the clouds of heaven will open, and the City of God will descend and His Kingdom will be established on the earth made new where ALL will be peace for evermore.
Revelation 21:16-27, "And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. *And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. *And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. *And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; *The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. *And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. *And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. *And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. *And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. *And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. *And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. *And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."
The things that we hold as precious today will be in common use for the walls, the foundations and the streets of the City of God. Talk about a pearl of great price, a pearl large enough to be an gate of entrance to the City of God. Such a place of beauty, where no abominable thing can ever enter.
Therefore, we need to make sure that we are Holy ~
The Prophet Ezekiel in Ezekiel 44:1-2 wrote, "Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut. *Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut."
Jesus is the only one that could enter the door of possibility where mortality is changed to immortality. There is only one way whereby mankind can be saved and have right to enter in through the gates of that city and partake of the Tree of Life, that way is Jesus.
Ezekiel 46:1-3 & 8, "Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened. *And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening. *Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the Sabbaths and in the new moons. **And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of that gate, and he shall go forth by the way thereof."
There is a sadness oh, how great is that sadness, that many people today are missing out on the privilege of entering into the blessing of the Lords Holy Sabbath Rest. There is only one day, the Seventh Day Sabbath even as there is only one way, Jesus Christ the Righteous.
In Zechariah 14:1-17 we read, "Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. *For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. *Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. *And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. *And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. *And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: *But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. *And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. *And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. *All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses. *And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. *And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. *And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. *And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. *And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague. *And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. *And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain."
The Prophet Daniel in Daniel 2:44 said, “In the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.”
In St. Luke 1:33 we read, "And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end."
Praise His Holy Name!
